CALL CENTER REPRESENTATIVE

Why Great Lakes?

Our mission of "doing what's right" isn't just a slogan. It's the guiding principle in everything we do. Students and their families borrow money for college because it's an important investment in their future. Our goal is to help students borrow responsibly, complete their education, and find repayment solutions that work for them. That's where you come in!

We need Call Center Representatives who can answer borrower's questions, contact borrowers whose accounts are past due, and work to find payment solutions that work for them. You'll help borrowers understand how much they've borrowed and the best way to manage their student loan debt. You'll also help borrowers create a personal plan to successfully pay back their student loans. Your caring and patient guidance of calls will help borrowers restore and maintain their accounts in good standing.

What's Great about us?

  • Receive Great Pay! The pay for this position starts at $14.85/hour. There are some shifts eligible for an additional $1.00/hour for hours worked after noon. Bilingual (Spanish) individuals can also earn an additional $1.50/hour differential. Our Professional Development Path boosts career development for Call Center Representatives. Acquiring new skills can lead to salary increases and/or title changes, helping Representatives have more control of their career development.

  • Enjoy Great Benefits! We reward dedicated employees with a positive work environment, including that support their financial future, personal satisfaction, and career development. Just as we help student loan customers find solutions that work for their lives, we also equip our employees with tools, benefits, and information to enjoy quality of life through health, work-life balance, financial stability, and growth. This commitment earned us a spot on In Business Magazine's "Best Companies to Work For" list for the past two years.

  • Do Great Things! Every Great Lakes employee enjoys unique opportunities to join in and change lives. Employees can get involved and support education causes locally through our Great Lakes Gives program:

    • Support our adopted schools by collecting school supplies, healthy snacks, books, winter clothing, Box Tops for Education, and more to help meet the basic needs of students and staff. Each of our offices has adopted a nearby school that welcomes the extra assistance our employees provide.

    • Unite for our annual company-wide United Way campaign, by pledging and participating in a variety of fun events in support of education initiatives and other causes in each of our communities. Employee giving has been multiplied in recent years by a Great Lakes corporate match supporting education.

  • Have a Great Time! Activity committees at each site plan fun activities and events throughout the year including events for family!
